# aws-sdk-mediapackagev2

This is the AWS Elemental MediaPackage v2 Live REST API Reference. It describes all the MediaPackage API operations for live content in detail, and provides sample requests, responses, and errors for the supported web services protocols.

We assume that you have the IAM permissions that you need to use MediaPackage via the REST API. We also assume that you are familiar with the features and operations of MediaPackage, as described in the AWS Elemental MediaPackage User Guide.

## Getting Started

The SDK provides one crate per AWS service. You must add [Tokio](https://crates.io/crates/tokio)
as a dependency within your Rust project to execute asynchronous code. To add `aws-sdk-mediapackagev2` to
your project, add the following to your **Cargo.toml** file:

```toml
[dependencies]
aws-config = { version = "1.1.7", features = ["behavior-version-latest"] }
aws-sdk-mediapackagev2 = "1.36.0"
tokio = { version = "1", features = ["full"] }
```

Then in code, a client can be created with the following:

```rust,no_run
use aws_sdk_mediapackagev2 as mediapackagev2;

#[::tokio::main]
async fn main() -> Result<(), mediapackagev2::Error> {
    let config = aws_config::load_from_env().await;
    let client = aws_sdk_mediapackagev2::Client::new(&config);

    // ... make some calls with the client

    Ok(())
}
```
