# Changelog All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file. The format is based on [Keep a Changelog](https://keepachangelog.com/en/1.0.0/), and this project adheres to [Semantic Versioning](https://semver.org/spec/v2.0.0.html). ## [Unreleased] ## [0.8.0] - 2024-01-22 ### Added - Credentials::download_google_jwks(): Update/replace public keys. Useful for long running services. - Added/Improved tests with doctest_credentials() + deserialize_credentials() - JWKSet::new() ### Changed - [Breaking] Async only API - [Breaking] Rocket example uses the Rocket 0.5 release - [Breaking] Migrated to Rust edition 2021 ## [0.6.1] - 2020-11-12 ### Changed - Change type signature for `MapValue` to allow for empty fields - Update dependency biscuit to 0.5 ## [0.6] - 2020-01-22 ### Changed - Update dependencies - Support for reqwest 0.10 with async/await. - Delete operation also available as async variant (unstable API for now) ## [0.5] - 2019-09-12 ### Changed - Remove lifetime from FirebaseAuthBearer trait. Turns out this can be elided by modern Rust versions. - Add two examples: own_auth and rocket_http_protected_route - dto::Document: "name" is no longer wrapped in an option. This field is always set, if no error occurred. ## [0.4] - 2019-09-05 ### Added - The user-session now also refreshes expired access tokens (if a refresh token is known). - Added "access_token_unchecked()" to the auth trait as a way to access the token without invoking the refresh check. - Add user-by-email management methods "sign_up" and "sign_in". ### Changed - User sessions Session::by_user_id now requires a 2nd parameter: "with_refresh_token" - Accept String and &str in some places - Store the reqwest client in session objects and reuse it. This also allows the library user to replace the client with a more specific one, that for example handle proxies or certain ssl situations. Successive document calls are way faster now. - Rename "bearer" to "access_token". Added "access_token_unchecked()" to the auth trait. - documents::write: Add options argument. The only option right now is "merge": Only update given fields and not replace the entire document. - documents::query: Return an iterator and lazy fetch documents. Take a serde_json::Value as value parameter. This allows to query for numbers and other fields with other data types than string as well. ### Removed - Dependency on regex. A custom method is in place instead. - Dependency on the deprecated rustc_serialize. Use base64 instead. - Dependency on untrusted: The ring crate interface takes slices directly now without untrusted wrappers. - Dependency on url. Unused. ## [0.3.1] - 2019-09-05 ### Changed - The documents::list iterator now iterates over tuples (document, metadata). Metadata contains the document name, created and updated fields. ## [0.3.0] - 2019-09-04 ### Added - Improved error handling! New error type for FirebaseError: APIError. Contains the numeric Google error code, the error string code and an optional context. The context is set to the document path if APIError has been returned by any of the document APIs. ### Changed - Renamed userinfo to user_info, userremove to user_remove - The session object does not need to be mutable anymore - The credentials API changed. Credentials::new introduced as preferred way to construct a Credentials object. ### Fixed - user_info and user_remove now work as expected. Tests added. ## [0.2] - 2019-09-02 ### Added - Add jwks public keys via Credentials::add_jwks_public_keys(JWKSetDTO). This avoids downloading them on each start. - Add new delete(auth, path, **fail_if_not_existing**) boolean argument including a test ### Changed - FirebaseAuthBearer trait, bearer method now returns a String and works on a non mutable reference, thanks to RefCell. - Credentials module: JWKSetDTO and JWSEntry are now public - Renamed the rocket guard struct from ApiKey to FirestoreAuthSessionGuard
