# A PDF tool & library written in Rust

This project is a work in progress. It is not yet ready for production, or even for testing.
This tool is meant to help with debugging PDF files.
Some goals are:
- Find the coordinates of text on a page
- Enumerate all rectangles on a page, and their coordinates
- Filter by color, fill, stroke, etc.
Advanced goals:
- Create PDF forms
- Insert JavaScript into a PDF file

The pdfdbg project consists of (either now or in the future (planned)) the following components:
- pdfdbg (the CLI binary, licensed as AGPLv3+)
- pdfdbg (the library, licensed as LGPLv3+)
- A GUI application (planned, licensed as AGPLv3+)
The following text applies to all components, but only the library is licensed under the LGPLv3+;
the other components are licensed under the AGPLv3+ "GNU Affero General Public License", as seen [here](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.en.html). For the other components, the text remains similar, but the LGPLv3+ is replaced with the AGPLv3+.
