# Proctree

Show running processes in a tree structure.

## Installation

### Cargo

Make sure the current stable release of [Rust](https://rust-lang.org/tools/install) is installed.

#### Registry

```bash
cargo install proctree
```

#### Manual

```bash
git clone https://github.com/ynuwenhof/proctree.git
cd proctree
cargo install --path .
```

After installing, you can run the application with:

```bash
proctree --unsorted
```

this will print the process tree into the terminal.

## Configuration

Proctree can be configured via environment variables or command line arguments.

Missing keys will fallback to their default value.

| Key                   | Description                                   | Default |
|-----------------------|-----------------------------------------------|---------|
| `PROCTREE_UNSORTED`   | Print the process tree without sorting by pid | `false` |
