`housekeeping`: Cleaning up while you're away

This crate is currently a stub. It is being developed as part of the Krabby project, but is currently on hold to focus on other related sub-projects.

This is a concurrent memory reclaimer, for dropping/recycling objects shared between threads. It is designed to run periodically, e.g. in between batches of executed tasks. It is inspired by seize and crossbeam_epoch, but is simpler and offers lower-level interfaces.

Origin

housekeeping is being developed for krabby, an experimental Rust compiler, due to the feature limitations of seize and [crossbeam-deque]. It is offered as a standalone crate in the hope that it may prove useful for other concurrent data structure libraries.

housekeeping is available under the MIT or Apache-2.0 licenses, at your option. Their terms are available in LICENSES/MIT.txt and LICENSES/Apache-2.0.txt respectively.
